| SIGN in Cambodia |
Six years ago the Kossamak hospital nearly closed because they did not have the resources to buy implants and instruments to treat the badly injured patients who came to them with mal unions after being first treated by bonesetters. A few months after receiving his SIGN starter kit, he reported that patients were now gaining trust that when they go to his hospital their injuries will properly heal. Under Dr. Bunn's leadership, Kossamak hospital has become a training ground for orthopaedic residents and for future SIGN surgeons. Dr. Bunn has provided training to surgeons at nearly all of the nine SIGN programs. Nearly 3,000 Cambodian patients have benefited from SIGN surgery since 2003. Your gift will help Dr. Bunn continue his SIGN training program so that SIGN can spread to more areas in Cambodia!
